Think Like A Marketer

If I had one thing I could suggest to all job seekers it would be to think like a marketer. Does your job strategy consist of reading postings on Monster, The Ladders or even Indeed? What have you done today to advance your career? Does your resume tell an audience why you are a winner? If I read your cover letter can I tell while you are special? According to the most recent government statistics there are more than EIGHT job seekers for every position. What are you doing to beat out those other seven people. Whether it is a razor sharp cover letter, asking your boss what you could do for him that would make you stand out, or finding five new linked in groups to join today, think about doing something that is ACTION oriented. Waiting for that dream job to show up online and sending your resume in is no different than putting a dollar down and purchasing a lottery ticket!
